Follow the Waypoint Edge
Mastodon Badlands is a unsolved Zone, it has 12 different Layouts, which Layout indicators have not been solved yet. Multiple Layout Variants also can have multiple Exit Locations. That said the Overworld Orientation of Bone Pits & Mastodon Badlands can tell us a little bit about the Exit location.
- Bone Pits is always diagonal to Mastodon Badlands, the Exit will be along either of the 2 Edges. So if Bone Pits is Top Left of Mastodon Badlands, the Exit can be along the Top or Left Edge of the Zone.
This sadly does not mean we can blindly run into that direction though. Some Layouts are C-Shaped and Entrance & Exit are along the same Edge!
The best aproach is to follow the Waypoint Edge! If you want to find the Effigy and Lightless Passage and they were not on the Path to Bone Pits exit, just continue to follow the Edge.
